Maisy

Ok yes, I need to take a new pic of our tree since we have gifts under it now...thanks to Jason's parents, but this is about Maisy. Since my parents are coming into town for xmas, we didnt' want to have homeless looking crusty maisy....so I took her to the pink poodle too and had her groomed. As you can see they gave her red sparkly bows (which she has already managed to pull out) and painted her nails sparkly red. Here are the pics of our pretty girl. Miss you all!!!!

XMAS

We finally got our tree up, unfortunately we have no gifts under it this year so it's a lonely tree. The majority of our ornaments broke in the move so they are all new ornaments, but I think we did a great job. Anyway MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Thanksgiving

Ok so I hosted my first thanksgiving and cooked my first turkey. I guess things went well because I didn't kill anyone or make anyone sick :) BONUS. Jason carved the turkey for the first time, man of the house and all. We had a great time, my brother and his wife came over so it was very low key. I served Rascal some turkey hoping it would make him sleepy like the rest of us but my plan did not work. He is still just as hyper as ever. St. George

I've been a slacker so I guess I need to catch up. We have been really boring lately, but I recently went to St. George to hang out with the monsters. We had a great time destroying the room and tackling the St. George events. Aidan and I got to hit up Fiesta Fun park which was not so fun. Everything was run down and nothing worked. As long as he got to keep putting in tokens though everything was O.K. We later got lost in town square and found a rock and roll festival going on with tons of old cars and music. they had some amazing things for him to do, we even got to roll down the hill. He has amazing somersault skills.

Later Lo Monster decided to see how many cookies could fit.....5 was the limit. I have to say I have some pretty cute nieces and a handsome nephew. Can't wait until the next outting.

It's a New Car!!!!!

After years of driving reliable Ruby, I have traded her in for a newer model. She was a good car, moved my across country twice and kept moving. I will miss her tons now that I'm thinking about it.

But on to the new car. It's a 2007 Ford Edge SEL. fully upgraded, black with tan leather interior, 6 CD changer, heated seats (yes I have used them in the mornings, it's cold here) plenty of room in the back for Rascal, duel sun roof, back up sensors, 33, 000 miles. Everything I wanted and more. Jason can drive in it without looking small. We finally have a family car, now we just need a family.

Sweet Bundles

So after learning that my sister in law is pregnant I was looking to get her a diaper cake. Turns out they are extremely expensive, so I'm making it myself. These are super cute ideas and I think a profit can be made.

So for a side job I will be starting a business called "Sweet Bundles" and I will be making Diaper Cakes (any theme you want) If it's asked for enough I will be making diaper cupcakes. Please let friends and family know in case they have a need.

Any thoughts on if this is a good idea or not? I'm always full of ideas, some are better than others but I'm thinking this will be a good thing for some extra cash

Got our Stuff

So we finally got our stuff yesterday....it didn't all come crashing on us but it definately fell forward and smashed a few things. The main concern for Jason was the bear (which was pushed under a few things but surprisingly was fine). I uploaded a few horrible pics of our stuff. We just have to figure out where to put it all. I'm so tired I feel like leaving it for a week and then getting to it. Anyway, I will upload more pics as we make progress :)

My 1st love

Jason and I just got back from dinner and I decided it was ok to finally let Rascal come in the house and play with us. He was so excited like a kid on Christmas morning. I finally got him settled down for 2 seconds so he would come sit with me. He's my big baby but the best dog ever.

Dining Room

Ok so here are so more pics of the house. This is the wall that we accomplished last night. The dining room wall. It's gold but not gawdy gold so I hope it blends with everything once we are all done. We finally bought a paint gun to help us get this done faster, but in the process of all this painting I have clogged the tub since I'm dumb and have been washing my brushes there. So we have another hurdle to figure out. Anyway it was fun to see everyone in SC last week, can't wait to get our stuff and complete our first home. Talk to you all soon.

Here are some recent pics of us. I got my hair cut and so did Maisy, Jason shaved Maisy on accident so she looks like a wet rat. We are doing good. I head to SC tomorrow to pack up the rest of the stuff. Can't wait to see everyone.

Floors

We finally got the floors put in, Jason Greg and Casper have been working on them all morning and they look amazing.

Painting Maisy

Maisy was jealous that all this painting was going on and she wasn't involved. So while her and Rascal were chasing each other around she hoped into the bucket of paint and then proceeded to run around on the carpet. It's a good thing we are tearin up the carpet this week otherwise we would have brown tiny paw prints circling the living room. She has learned that peeing and pooping is an outside deal so I guess I can't be too upset.

Jason and I got rockband and have been loving it. We just need someone on vocals because neither of us want to break the windows.

The Brown Room

Here is a picture of our living room. After painting it we realized how brown it is. So we are going to have to spice it up with some color. Jason is going to paint me some orange and yellow paintings and I'm going to find some lime green or yellow window treatments. Sounds a little much right now but the color will make the room really pop. Hope you all can come see it soon.

Moving along!!!

All is well, we finally are all moved in and out of the apartment. We have started painting but this process is a lot harder than we thought. Hoping to have the living room done by tonight, but it's slow going. These people had so many borders and bold colors that it takes several coats of paint and lots of push to get the borders off.

On a better note Maisy hasn't peed or pooped in the house since we've moved. She finally got some space to room and is a free woman. I'm hoping I will have some pictures to put up for everyone tomorrow. We are so happy to be where we are at. We have a great life going for us right now. Hope to see everyone soon.

Tiny light at the end of the tunnel. The title company finally has the loans docs. Hoping our agent can finagle us signing appt for us today. If not first thing in the morning. We might get in there just yet, and just in time. Rascal's kennel is missing have of the zipper. He has torn right threw it.

I HATE HOUSE HUNTING

I have learned that I hate the process of buying a home. After being told several things by the lender we are still waiting and I'm getting ready to pull my hair out. I didn't know what to expect but this is giving me heart burn on a daily basis. We are staying in this house forever and never moving or dealing with lenders again!!!!!!

Happy Anniversary!!!

We made it through 2 years.....feels like longer but it's just 2. We finally get to spend it together this year so I'm excited but not sure what he has up his sleeve.

On another note though, it's Rascal's big 2nd Birthday. Even though he's at 14 dog years he is definately hitting the terrible 2's. Out of no where he eats things, pooped in Jason's truck last week (not sure how he lived through that, Jason didn't speak for a few minutes) and eats Maisy. Hopefully I will have some bday pics later to post but in the mean time here is a pic of Jason and I at my brothers wedding. Talk you all soon :)

UFC Fan Expo

Last weekend we spent our time at the UFC fan expo. By the end of the day we were both exhausted and in pain from standing and walking. We had an amazing time though and met tons of fighters. Can't wait until next year.

Rascal went swimming

So for 4th of July I took Rascal to the lake...yes this posting is a little late, but the house posting was more important. So we went out to Lake Mead on Friday and took a few tennis balls. He jumped right in like he's a fish or something. We threw the ball around for a good hour, but he broke both balls by this point and they were starting to sink so we called it a day.

The poor guy was burning his feet on the sand and we couldn't get back to the car fast enough. Needless to say this is a great way for the little man to get tuckered out and will be doing it as much as I can. I'm adding some pics of him in the car after his hard day. He's grown so big some of you might not recognize him. Best dog out there though, besides the fact that he's more hyper than a 2 year old he listens and it great with Maisy.
